Our Fees

Term Fee

​

In 20 20 the fee per-school-term is $104, and is due immediately at the beginning of term. The fee is the same for all sections - joeys, cubs, scouts and venturers.

​

This is a flat-rate fee for the term, no matter whether your child attends one night, or regularly. 

​

For existing members, our treasurer will email an invoice as a reminder. New members will have additional fees (see below).

​

We do not pro-rata fees at all, sorry.

 

Discounts

​

There are some discounts offered in certain situations:

​

1st Child of a Leader Discount ($50 discount per term)
Parents are always welcome to join our team of leaders, we highly encourage it. As away of thanking you, and out of respect for the the time you are committing, we discount the fee for your first child who is a member with us. 

​

Sibling Discount  ($20 discount per term)
Subsequent siblings have the term fee reduced by $20 per term.

Additional Fees - New Members

​

In addition to the Term Fee, all new members need to pay the following fees. For new leaders, our group will cover these fees for you.

Joining Fee - $36
This is a one-time fee for your child to join Scouts Australia NSW [read more](https://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/for-parents/faqs/). 

​

Investiture Fee - $30
This is also a one-time fee, which covers the cost of the scarf, book and badges received at the investiture ceremony.

How To Pay Fees

​

We accept Cash, Cheque or online bank transfer. Cash or Cheque should be handed to a leader.

​

Our preferred form of payment is an online bank transfer. Our account details are on our invoices, or just ask the treasurer or a leader.

Leaving Scouts?

It is important to let us know if your child is thinking of leaving. We are billed for each term in advance, and we outlay your child's Association membership in advance - on your behalf - based on the assumption that your child will continue next term. We cannot get that money back under any circumstances - so we are often out of pocket when a child leaves, and we have paid for their membership in advance. If you can advise us of the plan to leave in the term prior, it makes things a lot easier financially. Please contact the Group Leader or Treasurer if your child is thinking of leaving.
